What exactly is trauma? Many of us associate the term with war, as in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). While this is true, there are a number of events in a person’s life that can have the same effect. A natural disaster, violent crime, emotional or physical abuse, or accident — these are just a few of the situations that can result in trauma. And different people respond to trauma in different ways. Some suffer with anxiety or depression, while others experience insomnia or flashbacks. Way too often, people living with the affects of trauma feel a sense of hopelessness. Our team is here to change that.
